研究概况
本人主要从事全新超算系统优化方法研究,以及高性能计算与地学计算交叉应用等工作。重点基于传统高性能计算平台(如CPU、GPU),国产超算系统(如神威·太湖之光),以及可重构计算系统(如FPGA)等,研究能解决重大应用需求的高性能、低能耗方法,主要包括:
1. 国产超算系统:设计高效的优化方案,完善神威超算系统的优化方法并积累经验,为提高用户开发效率提供良好借鉴,推动国产处理器在高性能计算更多关键应用中的使用,促进我国未来E级超级计算机的设计与研制。相关成果曾获世界超算应用最高奖“戈登·贝尔奖”等荣誉,系“戈登·贝尔”奖创办30年来我国科研团队在此大奖上零的突破。
2.可重构计算系统:研究通用可重构计算优化方案,提高硬件开发效率,进一步验证可重构系统在求解大规模科学计算问题的可行性与优越性等,为下一代高性能计算芯片与系统提供创新性高效率的计算方案。发表论文曾获现场可编程逻辑与应用国际会议颁发的“25年领域最具影响力论文奖”,该奖的入选率仅为1.5%,也是唯一来自中国的获奖成果。
3. 高性能地学应用:面向气候模式、遥感、地球物理勘探等地学应用实际需求,利用CPU、GPU、神威、FPGA等平台,研究可实现高性能、高可扩展性的解决方案,包括高性能数值、机器学习等方法,解决重大科学问题。
