Research Status
With the vision and goal of building efficient, secure, and intelligent hardware and systems, we are mainly engaged in the research of distributed computing and storage, intelligent acceleration and its application, secure pro, and secure systems.
The team in charge was established in 2003, formerly known as Microprocessor and SoC Research Center, which is a long-term stable research team. The team has been engaged in research in the fields of computer architecture, secure hardware, and secure systems. Since its establishment, the team has successfully developed THUMP (2003), the microprocessor with independent intellectual property rights, which had the highest main frequency in China at that time, and used the processor to design video codec processing chips, mobile memory card controllers, traffic distributors, cloud terminals, and other devices; in 2009, the team successfully developed a 64+ multi-core SoC simulation platform, which played an important role in the simulation test of Shenzhou 6 manned spacecraft; in 2012, we successfully developed a personal mobile computing environment based on cloud storage. in 2015, we developed a high-performance video coding algorithm module that was applied to the H.265 coding chip of Company. in 2018, we developed a deep neural network acceleration platform based on FPGA. in 2019, we discovered a major vulnerability in modern processors, such as INTEL, ARM, since then, we have successively discovered 5 processor security vulnerabilities.
He has published more than 100 papers and obtained more than 70 invention patents in HPCA/ICS/ INFOCOM / AAAI / NIPS / DAC / CCS.
