Research Status
My major research interests focus on computer architecture and brain-inspired computing.
Recently, together with Professor Youhui Zhang and other collaborators, I propose the concept of Turing Completeness and the system hierarchy for brain-inspired computing. This work combines the precise process capability of traditional Turing computing and the approximate capability of brain-inspired computing. The relevant paper was published in the Nature journal (co-first author). The review article published in the same issue believed that our work proposed a “breakthrough solution” for the tightly coupling problem of brain-inspired computing. It is the first Nature paper in the field of computer architecture in China. The related work was applied to the National Scientific and Technological Achievement Exhibition of “13th Five Year”. It is also awarded the leading achievement specially recommended by Co-chairs of the Committee of World Internet Conference in 2020.
